Hi, I’m Neil and I’m a beardy giant.

I am an imagination photographer, traveling the world to observe and preserve love stories. Telling unforgettable tales in lands far far away, beyond mountains, across seas, flying the mechanical bird from a to b.

I have a gorgeous wife called Rebecca who helps to keep me (in)sane. We have 4 children, 2 dogs and 1 cat.  No guinea pigs yet but I do keep getting asked and in reality it’s just a matter of time!

As you can probably tell from that, I am used to managing chaos and still getting things done (mostly!) which comes in really handy for weddings πŸ˜‰

I love travelling, getting out into nature where there is nothing but the sounds of the animals, the wind blowing through the trees, peace and tranquility.

A dream of mine would be me and the family in a big motorhome, no plan and no time constraints, travelling all 7 continents and learning all there is to learn about the world.  Although there would have to be a motorbike on the back too, probably a classic Ducati…

Why are you called Type1 Photography?

I sometimes get asked “Why call yourself Type1 Photography?”
Well that is influenced by my love of classic VW cars and vans. The original classic VW Beetle’s factory name was a ‘Type1’.
I have had a few of them over the years in various states of disrepair, currently making do with a Type4 campervan though as it has more seats πŸ˜€

Ready To See The Packages?

~ I can sometimes be described as so relaxed I am horizontal.

~ If there is a crisis, I’m the one people call – a bit like a one man A-Team.

~ I love the smell of cigars, they remind me of my dad and lazy summer holidays.

The party is always the best part of the day and I WILL sing along to pretty much everything!

~ On wedding days I exist on Red Bull and Snickers.

~ Picard is, was and always will be the THE Captain

~ The original Disney films are the best – Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Bedknobs and broomsticks, Mary Poppins….

~ I am the one who knocks and you know that winter is coming.
